I started with a sheet of 1/2” foamed PVC. I cut the openings for the windows and doors, and also inscribed some indentations. I used nylon washers and Magic Sculpt to create the sculptures.
I found some columns in the cake decorating section of Michaels. The column bases and top was built from the same PVC material. I added styrene strips to give it a more ornate look.
The rest of the building was built from clear acrylic. The protective sheets were removed after the glue dried.
Doors were built from styrene strips and sheet. The doorknobs are brass escutcheon pins. The completed back door is shown on the right, while the front door is still in progress.
The base is made from the 1/2” foam PVC, scribed to resemble a side walk and curb, then painted gray.
The windows were build from brass strip and brass rod, soldered together.
The front assembly was sprayed with Krylon Ivory. The windows were painted white.
The structure was covered with Precision Products brick sheet.
I made some signs using a Brother P-Touch labeler and applied these to some painted styrene sheet.
A small vent is covered with screen to keep out the critters.
