A scratchbuilt hopper, based upon an ET&WNC prototype.

Similar to the hopper above, I built a set of four hoppers using plans for ET&WNC hoppers.

These are more to scale and fidelity towards the prototype.

All lumber was cut to scale from basswood sheets.  Grab irons individually formed to the prototypical shape and size.

When I attended the East Coast Large Scale Train show in 2008, Rich Yoder was there with his imported EBT hoppers.   I showed him the EBT Boxcar that I had built and he offered to trade even.  I immediately accepted.
