This year we arrived early so we could run a bit on Doug’s Northland Railroad.
Friday brought LOTS of rain. The hoppers that Fred had set out the night before were completely filled with water.
The afternoon brought an end to the rain, so I got a chance to run my live steam Shay, while Jean watches.
Jean and I share a train. I’m the conductor, while she is the engineer. Here, Ralph Dipple watches her move the train.
We visit Dave McCurdy’s to check on his progress.
Jan Golding ran her train. It’s complete with a female engineer and fireman.
Fred saved the day by arranging a quick trip to the Canadian Transportation Museum, complete with a private tour. Here Jean and Ken Brunt enjoy one of the exhibits.
Ric Golding was yardmaster at Craig Leah. Once again, there were some new buildings added to the layout since our last visit.
Some decorated cars commemorate this year’s Invasion.
My boxcab takes a siding to let Ric Golding’s motorcar pass.
