I bought an AMS gondola (top), but wasn't particularly fond of the look...
I ended up removing the top two boards and painting it black. It is now #30 and while it is used in my operating sessions, I also use it to ferry/carry my tools when I'm out working on the layout.
When I was first starting building my own rolling stock, I ran across this little low side gondola kit from Don Winter. While I always enjoy building stuff, I really did not see this fitting in with my railroad.
I ended up converting it into a little logging caboose.
Another very cool kit - drop bottom from Don Winter. A cool kit, but it didn't really fit in with my railroad.
I ended up donating these to Doug Matheson in Canada - who had me build a couple more kits, now from Phil Dippel.
