Smith Pond Mill

I’ve been wanting to build a stone mill for quite some time.  First, it would be a different material to model in, and second, it would add a water feature to the garden, as I will need some water to drive the wheel.

That means I need a pond to keep the pump in, and a bit of a hill - to act as a "source" for the water.

I don’t want to have a turbo-wheel!  Real mills operated around 8-10 rpm.

The gallery below shows the steps I used to create Smith Pond Mill.  I started building this in July, 2004.
